Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
