Kai Trump will have numerous prominent supporters as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates multiple golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He practically told me to compete and relax," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions this year and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He advised me to play, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that involving Kai brings the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching youth audiences.
Kai maintains millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
