McKenna referred to Celtic as "a really big soccer institution" but emphasized he is "deeply involved" of a "extensive rebuilding" with the Championship side.

The mid-thirties assumed control of Portman Road in 2021 and guided the team to the English top flight with back-to-back promotions, but they won just a handful of victories last campaign as they were demoted back to the Championship and they presently occupy 12th in the Championship.

"There have been such discussions," the English capital native former Northern Ireland youth international said when questioned about being on Celtic's shortlist.

"In every manager's contract, there are things," he replied. "I'm unaware what my specific terms are and, if I did, I wouldn't disclose you anyway!

"I tackle this job like I will remain Town's coach indefinitely. I know that's not always going to be the case, but I'll always do my best as while I am here."

Bellamy's Situation

Bellamy represented the Hoops on temporary transfer from the Magpies in 2005, but the former Welsh striker is minded to finish the ongoing global tournament qualification, a position that would practically eliminate the mid-forties from immediately taking the Glasgow position.

Wales are presently third in their qualifying group behind leaders the Red Devils and second-placed North Macedonia.
